Tinora Lady Rams 12 Hicksville 2

The Tinora Lady Rams used an eight run first inning en route to a GMC win over Hicksville, 12-2.

Tinora sent 12 batters to the plate in the bottom of the first inning to grab an 8-0 lead. The inning was highlighted by a Zoe Roesti three run homerun, putting Tinora on top, 6-0. Maren Pittman would reach base two times in the first inning for the Lady Rams.

The Lady Rams would add a single run in the second as Paige Carpenter would double home Paige Gamby, putting the Lady Rams on top 9-0 through two innings.

Hicksville would score their only two runs of the game in the top of the third. McKenna Rice would score on a Katie Chapman sacrifice fly, giving the Aces their first run. Hicksville would add another run, cutting the lead to 9-2. Kennedy Adams would score on a fielders choice.

Tinora made it 10-0 in the third. Logan McQuillin would double home Anna Frazer to give Tinora a 9-0 lead. Paige Gamby’s double would plate McQillin with another Lady rams run, making it 10-2 after three innings.

Tinora would end the game in the bottom of the fifth. Paige Carpenter would single home Logan McQuillin, giving the Lady Rams a 10 run rule, 12-2 win.

Paige Carpenter would collect three hits and four RBI’s

Tinora improves to 10-4 with the win, 4-1 in the GMC. The Lady Rams will host Evergreen Friday.

Hicksville falls to 7-7, 2-3 in conference play.

Zoe Roesti was the Higbea Embroidery Player of the Game. Great game, Zoe. Roesti was 2-3 with a homerun and 3 RBI.

Scylea Zolman picked up the win to improve to 9-2 on the season.
