The Lady Rams volleyball team welcomed the Liberty Center Tigers in a non-conference matchup on Thursday night from Tinora High School.

Despite the warm, sticky conditions outside, the THS gymnasium was nice and cool as the 5-2 Lady Rams welcomed the 4-1 Lady Tigers. These two teams met twice last season, with Tinora coming away with the regular-season win and the OHSAA Districts win as well. The Tigers last win in the series came back in 2023.

The first set was a battle, with the Lady Rams winning 25-31 to take a 1-0 set advantage over the Tigers.

The second set saw the Tigers jump out to an early lead, then hold off the Lady Rams for a 25-22 win, evening the match at 1-1.

Set three saw Tinora roar out to an early lead, a lead they would never relinquish, on their way to a 25-12 third set win, and a 2-1 set advantage,

The fourth set again saw Tinora take control, only to see the visiting Tigers rally down the stretch, but they could never catch the Lady Rams, as Tinora held on for a 25-19 fourth set win, taking the match 3-1.

Liberty Center falls to 4-2. The Tigers will travel to Holtop on 9/8.

The Lady Rams improve to 6-2. Tinora will travel to Edgerton on Tuesday to start the defense of their GMC title.
