Senior righty Connor Wolfrum took the ball on a chilly, windy Friday night at Grube Field at Tinora High School and set the tone early by pounding the strike zone early and often against the visiting Stryker Panthers.

Wolfrum struck out two Panthers in the top of the first, while his teammates gave him all he needed as they pushed across four runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 4-0 lead.

Leadoff man Ayden Moser got the Ram train rolling with a leadoff single. Kadyn Radzik and Alec Schaublin would walk to load the bases. Moser would score on a balk, Radzik would score on an RBI ground out by Hunter Bostelman to take a 2-0 lead. Schaulblin would score on an error by Panthers starter Gavin LeBo to put the Rams ahead 3-0.
BJ Morlock would smash a liner over the head of Stryker center fielder Jacob Caldwell for an inside the park homer to close out the scoring in the first, 4-0.

Tinora added four more in the bottom of the second to jump out to an 8-0 lead. Rylee Peters started the Tinora second with a one out walk, Ayden Moser followed with another single, his second of the game. Kadyn Radzik would walk to load the bases with just one out.

Area RBI leader Alec Schaublin would step up and smash a bases clearing double to the left field wall, giving the Rams a 7-0 lead. Mason McQuillin would smash a single into center field for an RBI, scoring was Schaublin to cap the second inning scoring, Tinora led 8-0 through two.

The Ram hitting attack continued with a three run third. Connor Wolfrum and Rylee Peters were hit by LaBo to start the bottom of the inning. Radzik would smash a double to the right field gap, scoring both Wolfrum and Peters. Radzik would also score on the play on two separate throwing errors during the play to shoot the Rams out to an 11-0 advantage through three.

The Tinora scoring was capped in the bottom of the fourth as they jetted to a 13-0 lead. Owen Ferrell would score on an error on a hit by BJ Morlock, Morlock would score on a wild pitch to close the bottom of the fourth inning.

Parker Hancock came on to pitch two innings of near perfect relief. Hancock would strike out three Panthers in his relief outing.

The Higbea Embroidery Player of the Game went to Connor Wolfrum, great job, Connor.

Tinora improves to 8-4 with the win. The Rams will play on the road next week Monday at Montpelier, Tuesday at Ayersville, and Thursday at Antwerp before returning home Saturday to host Kalida.

Stryker falls to 1-7 The Panthers will host Edon on Tuesday.
