METAMORA – The Tinora Lady Rams collected 10 runs on 13 hits, including four home runs, in a 10-0 win as they traveled to take on the Evergreen Vikings Friday eening. .
Evergreen’s Macy Chamberlin, a Penn State commit, entered the game hitting at .833 with 54 career home runs, was a main concern for the Lady Rams entering the non-conference game.
Tinora would get on the board first with a tow run second inning. Scylea Zolman started the Lady Rams with a solo homer to center field to give Tinora the early 1-0 advantage. The Lady Rams would add a second run on an RBI Trinity Koerber RBI ground out, scoring on the play was Madison Spangler, as Tinora led 2-0 through two innings of play.
Tanae Smith started the third inning for Tinora with a leadoff single, she would come around to score on an RBI single by Paige Gamby as the Lady Rams extended their lead to 3-0 in the third. The Lady Rams added another run on a RBI double by Zolman, scoring for Tinora was Tegan Norden who reached on an Evergreen infield error.
Tinora’s Madison Spangler would hit her first homer of the game, giing the Lady Rams a 6-0 lead through three.
Tegan Norden extended the Tinora lead to 8-0 in the top of the fourth with a two run homer, scoring in front or Norden was Tanae Smith who singled, one of three hits for Smith, a Goshen commit.
The scoring continued in the inning for Tinora as Madiiiison Spangler would hit her second homer of the game, scoring was Spangler and Madison Zachrich to give the Lady Rams a 10-0 advantage through four innings.
Tiffin commit Scylea Zolman would roll through the Vikings lineup, striking out 13 Evergreen batters while giving up just two hits. Zolman did walk fie batters, two to Chamberlin.
Zolman moved to 9-0 on the season for Tinora.
With the win, Tinora stands at 10-1 as they travel to Coldwater on Saturday for a DH.
Evergreen falls to 4-5 and will travel to Lake on Saturday.
