FINDLAY – The Rams took the bus a bit southeast Saturday morning to take on the DIV 1 Findlay Trojans.

The Trojans broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the bottom of the fifth and added a single run in the six for a 7-3 win over the Rams.

Tinora tallied a single run in the top of the first. Kadyn Radzik singled and scored on an Alec Schaublin double to put the Rams on top 1-0 after their initial at bat.

Findlay responded with a solo run themselves, as Matthew Guthrie scored on a bases loaded walk off Tinora starter Alec Schaublin to tie the game at 1-1.

Findlay put two tallies on the board in the bottom of the third to grab a 3-1 advantage. Austin Sertell would score on another bases loaded walk, this issued by relief pitcher BJ Morlock. Ryan Mass would follow with another run on a basses loaded pass to take a 3-1 lead through three innings of play.

The Rams mounted a rally in the top of the fifth, scoring two runs to knot the game at 3-3. Rylee Peters would score on an infield error by the Trojans to but the Findlay lead to 3-2. Trenton Delarber would reach via error and come around to tie the game at 3-3 on a double off the bat of BJ Morlock.

The host Trojans would plate three runs in the fifth to take a 6-3 lead. With the third pitcher working for the Rams, Adam Spychala, Findlay’s Luke Weihrauch started the inning with a bunt single, we would later score on a single by Ryan Mass for a 4-3 lead. Andrew Keyser would score on a Tinora fielding error for a 5-3 lead.
Ryan Mass scored the six Findlay run on another Tinora infield error, the Trojans led 6-3 after five.

Findlay added their final run in the bottom of the six, as Austin Sertell scored on an RBI single by Reece Stillings to give the Trojans a 7-3 advantage.

Ben Best went the distance for the win for Findlay, lowering his ERA to 2.42.

Tinora drops to 13-6. A busy week ahead for the Rams.
Tuesday is Senior Night vs. Wauseon, Wed at Paulding, 4:30 start, Thurs vs. Swanton, Fri at Bryan, and Sat home vs. Edon at 11 am and AT Ayersville at 5 pm Sat as well.

Findlay improves to 10-11. The Trojans will play Monday vs. Central Catholic.
