After the 11-inning marathon, sandwiched between a JV game, the Lady Rams took the field for a makeup game vs. North Central.
Sophomore Carlie Roehrig took the circle and got the win in the Lady Rams 12-6 win over the North Central Eagles.
Lexie Baldwin, who has played flawlessly defensively for Coach Fairchild’s Lady Rams, led off the bottom of the first with a hit by pitch. Balswin would score the first run of the game on an RBI double off the bat of Madison Spangler for a 1-0 lead. Spangler came around to score on an RBI by Savanah Schroeder for a 2-0 lead.
The visiting Eagles put up a solo run in the top of the second to close the gap to 2-1. Rose Mills would double and score on an RBI single by Addyson Turner.
The Lady Rams would erupt for six runs in the bottom of the second as they would bat around, sending nine to the plate. Lexi Rios started the inning with a walk; she would score on a Christina Meyer RBI double for a 3-1 lead.
Christina Meyer would double and score on an RBI single by Karli Carpenter. Carpenter came around on an RBI by Madison Spangler for a 5-2 lead. Spangler scored on another RBI by Schroeder for a 6-2 advantage. Schroeder scored on a Zoe Billings single, followed by two errors by the Eagles on the play, allowing Billings to score for an 8-1 lead after two.
The lead grew to as much as 10-1 through four. Madison Spanler led off with a triple and scored on a wild pitch for a 9-1 advantage. Schoeder would reach via error and score on a Taylor Spangler RBI, and a 10-1 Lady Rams lead after four.
The North Central Eagles tried to mount a rally, scoring four runs off Roehrig in the top of the fifth, cutting the Lady Rams lead to 10-5. Taylor Spangler would come in the game in relief of Roehrig. A single by Breann Genron started the rally. Genron came around to score on a sacrifice fly to center. Zoey Amos singles and scored on a wild pitch, cutting the Tinora lead to 8-3.
Cailyn Meyers would walk and come home on a Tinora throwing error. Gracie Zuver would walk and score on another Tinora error, cutting the Tinora lead down to 8-5 through the North Central fifth.
The Lady Rams added two more runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 12-5 lead. Taylor Spangler started the inning with a single. Lexi Rios followed with a single of her own. Lexi Baldwin would double, scoring T. Spangler for an 11-5 advantage. The final run for the Lady Rams came on a sac fly by Christina Meyer. Tinora led 12-5 after six.
The Eagles put up a single tally in the top of the seventh. Alexa Smith reached via error and came around to score on an error by Tinora.
The final in game was Tinora 12 and North Central 6.
North Central fell to 0-5. The Eagles will travel to Edgerton on Monday.
Tinora improves to 4-5. The Lady Rams travel to Continental on Monday.
