After a sluggish start through the first 12 minutes, the Tinora Lady Rams finally kicked it into another higher gear as they defeated the Hicksville Lady Aces 58-24.

The Lady Rams and Aces were tied at 2-2 through the first four minutes of the opening quarter before Tinora’s Karli Okuley’s two free throws with 3:38 on the clock gave Tinora a lead they would never relinquish.

The Lady Rams exited the initial quarter with a 10-5 advantage over the host Lady Aces.

The second quarter finally saw the Lady Rams offense begin to click in the last four minutes. Tinora held just a 12-5 lead with 3:56 on the second quarter clock, when Eowyn Blanchard’s two free throws bumped the Lady Rams lead to 14-5. 

Karli Okuley would score her sixth point of the half on a followup bucket, increasing the Lady Rams lead to 16-8.
Amelia Coy’s right wing deep two pointer gave Tinora a 21-8 lead with 2:20 left in the second quarter.

Tinora would end the second quarter on a 13-0 run to head to the half with a 28-10 lead.

Hicksviulle was led by Kennedy Adams and her eight points at the half, while Tinora was led by Blanchard’s nine markers.

The Third quarter finally saw the Tinora offense at peak performance. 
Amelia Coy’s right side three pointer gave Tinora a 46-16 lead with 1:23 on the clock on the third quarter clock.

The Lady Rams put up 20 points in the quarter to take a 48-19 lead through three quarters of play. 
Nova Okuley would score nine points in the quarter for the Lady Rams.

The fourth quarter saw most of the JV Rams get some minutes, as they did not have a contest beforehand tonight. Tinora exited the final quarter with a 58-24 victory at Hicksville.

NO JV GAME

Tinora improves to 1-7, 3-2 in conference play. Tinora is home Saturday vs. Elmwood.
Hicksville drops to 2-16, 0-6 in the GMC. The Lady Aces will travel to Antwerp on Thursday 2/8.

The Higbea Embroidery Player of the Game went to Karli Okuley, another great performance for Karli.
