A packed house at Tinora High School Friday night saw the Tinora Rams welcome in the Edgerton Bulldogs.

From Pre-K students singing the fight song during the pregame, to Future Rams your basketball players, to the great rendition of the National Anthem by Tinora student Sophia Jordan, Rams fans were ready to cheer!

Tinora and Dylan Schaufele got off to a great opening quarter start as Schaufele dumped in seven points as the hot Rams led 14-8 after the initial eight minutes.

Unfortunately for Schaufele and Tinora, he picked up his third foul early in the quarter, despite the Rams mounting fouls, Josh Lieb added five points for Tinora for a game high 10 as the exited the second quarter with a 21-14 halftime lead over Edgerton.

The third stanza saw the Bulldogs get to within one midway through the quarter, holding the Rams offense scoreless for the first four minutes of the third, but the Rams responded with 12 points in the final four minutes and a 33-27 lead through three.

Tinora’s offense continued to run on high octane as Grant Lymanstall added eight points in the final period, teammate Josh Lieb finished with a game high 18 points as the Rams pulled away from Edgerton and a 53-40 conference win.

Edgerton was led in scoring by Mason Elden’s 13 points, Maddux Baker added 11 in the loss.

Edgerton falls to 7-5, 1-1 in the GMC. The Bulldogs will host Pettisville Saturday.

Tinora improves to 5-6, 2-0 in the GMC. The Rams will travel to Edon Saturday.
