EDON – The Tinora Lady Rams headed over to Edon for a rare girls/boys Saturday night doubleheader to take on the Bombers.
The Lady Rams, seeking their first road win of the season, started the fourth quarter with a 40-33 lead over the 9-3 Bombers after Hadley Spieth scored on their opening possession. However, this would be Tinora’s only made field goal in the final period.
In the final six minutes, Coach Brien Moore’s Bombers used their experience to surge back, outscoring the Lady Rams 13-3. With 2:43 left, Grace Ripke hit two free throws to give Edon a 41-40 lead. The Bombers maintained this edge for a 46-43 win.
For Tinora, the only points in the fourth quarter came from Spieth’s opening basket and three free throws by Ella Homier. The Lady Rams failed to score any other field goals in the final period.
Tinora’s Madison Spangler poured in a career-high 21 points in defeat for the Lady Rams. The Bombers’ defense held Spangler scoreless in the final stanza.
The Lady Rams had a chance to tie the game with a shot at the buzzer; however, Edon’s Addison Briner blocked the attempt.
Edon’s Addison Briner led the Bombers with 14 points.

EDON 13-13-7-13 = 46
Tinora drops to 2-12. The LAdy Rams will host Fairview on Thursday.
Edon improves to 10-3. The Bombers will travel to Paulding on Monday.
