VAN BUREN – The Lady Rams made the hour bus trip east to take on the Black Knights of Van Buren.

It took a few innings but final the Rams train moving forward as they scored four runs in the third to grab an early 3-0 at host Black Knights.

Tanae Smith smashed a bases clearing double in the top of the third to place teammates Zoe Billings, Christina Meyer, and Trynity Koerber as the Lady Rams grabbed the early 4-0 advantage.
Scylea Zolman’s fielders choice would score Tanae Smith, the Lady Rams led 5-0 after three innings.

Tinora pushed across a single run in the top of the forth on a Paige Gamby homerun that put the Lady Rams on top 5-0 through four.

The Lady Rams attack would finally explode with five runs in the top of the sixth. Tegan Norden’s two run double plated Christine Meyer and Mickey Starkey for a 7-0 advantage. A Paige Gamby ground out scored Koerber for an 8-0 lead.
The final two runs for Tinora came as Sclea Zolman launched a two run homer, scoring Norden for a 10-0 lead.

Zolman would go the distance for her 14th win, allowing just 3 hits and striking out 13 Knight batters.

Tinora moves to 17-3 on the season. The Lady Rams will travel to Swanton Saturday morning to take on the Bulldogs at 11 am.

Van Buren drops to 10-9 and will host Port Clinton Saturday at 11 am.
