Allan Burchfield pitched the Rams’ second straight shutout, while Ryan Mills hit his first varsity homer as the Rams stayed in GMC contention with a 10-0 win over Edgerton.

Things started a bit ominously for the host Rams. Bulldogs leadoff hitter Maddux Baker singled to start the game. Parken Elden followed, reaching via an infield error. With one out, both runners moved to second and third on an errant pickoff move. Tinora senior starter Allan Burchfield got out of his only jam of the game by retiring the next two bulldog hitters.

The Rams grabbed a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. After Logan Stein reached via error, Owen Reynolds followed with a walk. A walk to Parker Hancock loaded the bases with one out. A sacrifice fly off the bat of Burchfield plated the first run in Stein. Ryan Mills walked to reload the bases with two outs. A double steal resulted in Tinora’s second run, as Hancock stole second and Reynolds scored on an errant throw. Tinora led 2-0 after one inning.

Maddux Baker would be removed after the first inning with an injury, but would switch positions with shortstop Kellen Sanchez.

The Rams plated two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Kolton Snyder started the frame with a walk. A perfect sac bunt by Jaded Neff moved pinch runner Grady Stark to second. Avery Moser singled, moving Stark to third. Moser advanced to second on the throw. Owen Ferrell laid down a perfect suicide squeeze bunt, scoring Stark for a 3-0 lead. After a two-out walk to Stein, Reynolds doubled to left-center. Scoring was Moser and Stein for a 5-0 Tinora advantage.

The Ram offense put up two more in the bottom of the fifth, grabbing a 6-0 lead. A one-out single by Burchfield was followed by the first career home run by Ryan Mills, deep over the leftfield wall. The bench went into a frenzy, with a 7-0 lead after five.

The Rams brought four across in the bottom of the sixth for a 10-0, six-inning win. Moser led off the sixth with his second single of the game. Ferrell followed with a bloop single. Owen Reynolds walked to load the bases with one out. Parker Hancock was hit by a pitch, getting an RBI the hard way and scoring Moser for an 8-0 lead. Allan Burchfield singled to center, scoring Ferrell. Tinora led 9-0. The final run came on an RBI single, scoring Reynolds for the 10-0 Tinora win.
