STRYKER: A night after a tough loss on the road to conference rival Fairview, the Rams hit the road for a Saturday trip to Stryker to take on the Panthers. Another packed house awaited the Tinora basketball team.
The Combo of William Donovan and Bradley Williams combined for 45 of the Panthers 48 points as the Panthers held off a Rams fourth-quarter rally for a 48-33 win.
Donovan, the third leading scorer in the area, led all scorers with 28 points as the Panthers improved to 8-7.
The senior Donovan opened up the initial quarter, dropping in 9 points to give the Panthers a 14-6 lead after the first quarter.
The Panthers’ defense held the Tinora offense to just three second-quarter points as they took a 23-9 lead at the half, as Donovan led all scorers with 21 first-half points.
The Panthers stretched their lead to 34-18 with two minutes remaining in the third stanza. The Rams Grant Lyman stall hit a three, and a steal and score by Parker Hancock cut the lead to 34-23 after three.
Tinora cut the Stryker lead to single digits, 34-25, on two free throws by Josh Lieb; it was Lieb’s first points of the game, as the Panthers defense limited the Rams leading scorer to just four points on the night.
William Donovan would bucket seven points down the stretch as the Panthers would pull away from the Rams for a 48-33 win.
Stryker’s Bradley Williams threw in 17 points while Tinora’s Dylan Schaufele had 10 for Rams in the loss.

Tinora falls to 5-9. The Rams will host Lake on Monday evening.
Stryker improves to 8-7. The Panthers will host Hilltop next Friday.
