The Lady Rams headed into the evening with a shot, with a win, at tying the visiting Raiders atop the Green Meadows Conference standings.
Tinora, winners of six of their last eight games, and a 3-1 GMC mark, welcomed in the 12-4 Raiders, alone atop the GMC standings at 4-0.
Tinora’s Emma Bailey hit a right block shot to give the Lady Rams an early 2-0 lead. Wayne Trace’s Lexi Sinn answered with a left side bucket, tying the game at 2-2. Tinora’s Julia Durfey’s left corner gave Tinora a 5-2 lead.
That would be the Lady Rams biggest, and only lead the remainder of the game as the Raiders would outscore Tinora 13-0 to close out the first quarter with a 15-5 advantage.
The Raiders suffocating defense would again stifle the Tinora offense in the second stanza, out scoring the Lady Rams 6-5 for a end of half 21-10 lead.
The Raider defense would cap Tinora’s top two scorers, Nova Okuley and Eowyn Blanchard, a combined 24 PPG, to zero first half points.
The third stanza saw Wayne Trace push their lead to 36-16, and end with a low scoring fourth quarter, coming away with a dominating 39-19 win over Tinora.
Eowyn Blanchard would bucket six points to lead the Lady Rams, while Wayne Trace was led by Careen Winans with 12. Sophomore sensation Lexi Moore bucketed 10 for the Raiders in the win.
