HAVILAND – Tinora sophomore Zoe Billings pitched a five hit shutout and helped herself at the plate with two RBI’s as the Lady Rams went on the road and picked up a 5-0 win over the Raiders of Wayne Trace.

Freshman Karly Carpenter collected three hits, as Tinora had eight hits in the GMC win.

Tinora jumped out to an early 2-0 lead as they plated two early first inning runs for a 2-0 advantage before the Raiders came to bat. Paige Gamby knocked in Madison Spangler for a 1-0 lead, followed by a Billings RBI groundout.

The Lady Rams added three more runs in the top of the sixth to grab a 5-0 lead. Gamby doubled and would score her second run of the game on another Billings RBI for a 3-0 lead.
Nahla Flanary would score run four for Tinora as she would cross the plate on a single by Karly Carpenter for a 4-0 lead.

The Lady Rams would cap their scoring with a Savannah Schroeder RBI double, scoring Carpenter for a 5-0 Rams lead through six innings.

Labounty, Noggle, and Bahenza, Zartman, would all single for the Raiders in the loss.

McGarvey was the tough luck loser, allowing just two earned runs while striking out four.

Tinora improves to 5-4, 2-0 in the GMC. The Lady Rams will host Paulding Friday at 5 pm in a makeup game.

The Raiders drop to 5-7, 0-2 in conference play. Wayne Trace will travel to Miller City on Monday.
