The undefeated Lady Rams of Tinora welcomed the visiting Patriots of Patrick Henry for a Thursday evening non-conference game. The Patriots, who represent the NWOAL, came in with an 8-7 mark, 5-0 in league play, and are tied atop with Archbold.
The host Lady Rams of Tinora stood atop the GMG at 4-0, 15-0 overall entering the Thursday contest.
The first set was back and forth midway through. Tinora snagged a 10-8 lead, but the Patriots went on a run to take a 13-11 lead. The Lady Rams would then rip off 14 straight points for a 25-13 first-set win, taking an early 1-0 lead.
Set two saw Tinora take another early lead at 3-0. The Lady Rams extended their lead to 11-6, then to 20-10, before grabbing set two, 25-13. Tinora took a 2-0 set advantage in the best of five.
The Lady Rams led from start to finish in set three, 25-11, and took the match 3-0.
Patrick Henry drops to 8-8. The Patriots will play at Bluffton on Monday and host Archbold on Tuesday.
Tinora ups their record to 16-0. The Rams will travel to Archbold (12-2) on Saturday morning. Archbold defeated Kalida in a 5-set thriller Thursday.
