During his 26 year tenure as head coach of the Tinora Rams baseball program, it’s always been about the players and the team. On Friday from Grube Field at Tinora High School, friends, family, and alumni joined in a pregame ceremony to celebrate the career of head coach Brent Renollet. The jersey #30 Renollet wears was retired, and will be placed on the Rams dugout.

In 29 years of coaching Delta and Tinora, coach Renollet has amassed a overall record of 479-219, winning 11 GMC titles, 4 trips to the OHSAA tournament, and one State title in 2014. Congratulations, BR!

As coach Renollet would want, teams got down to business. Bryan would score two runs in the initial inning to take a 2-0 lead off Tinora starter, sophomore Logan Stein. Carter Luce and Cade Carlin both would reach for Bryan to start the game and score on a RBI single off the bat of Jacob Uran.

The Rams would answer and take a 3-2 after one inning of Bryan starter Cade Carlin. Ayden Moser led off the Rams bottom of the first with a walk and would come around to score on Alec Schaublin’s two-run home run. Hunter Bostelman would walk and score the third run on a Parker Hancock single, one of four hits for Hancock.

Tinora would add six runs in the bottom of the third and take a 9-3 lead. Tinora would score six runs on three hits as they sent nine to the plate. Highlighted in the inning was a inside the park for Alex Schaublin, his second homer of the game, scoring Moser. Owen Ferrell, Parker Hancock, and Trenton Delarber also added RBI hits in the frame.

Bryan answered with three in the top of the fourth. An RBI by Tucker Miller and a two RBI double from Elijah Fry cut the Tinora lead to 9-5.

The Rams offense bounced right back plating four more runs in the bottom of the fourth. Parker Hancock again came through with a two RBI double. Trenton Delarber and Alec Schaublin also provided RBI doubles for a 13-5 lead through four innings.

Bryan would not give up, the Golden Bears bounced right back with two runs of Tinora receiver Allan Burchfield, cutting the Rams lead to 13-7. Carter Dominique’s two run homer to leftfield cut the deficit to six.

The Rams would end the game in the bottom of the fifth. Parker Hancock added his fourth hit of the game, including his fourth RBI on a double, scoring Adam Spychala and Mason McQuillin, both who previously walked for a 15-7 lead. A bases loaded walk to Avery Moser added run 16, scoring Ferrell. Burchfield would end the game with a bases loaded fielders choice, scoring Hancock for a 17-7 Tinora victory.

Congratulations to Coach Renollet!!
