Archbold: Following their Friday night win vs Bryan on the jersey retirement of head coach Brent Renollet, the Rams had a long day of baseball on Saturday as they had doubleheader in two different cities.

Game one saw the Rams travel to Archbold and defeat the Bluestreaks 13-7 as Hunter Bostelman improved to 5-1 on the season as he pitched a compete game.

In the noon start, the Rams faced 2025 NWOAL Player of the Year, Zack Short to start their day, Short came in averaging over two strikeouts an inning. The Rams offense touched Short up in the first inning scoring four runs to take an early 4-0 lead. Owen Ferrell’s two RBI triple highlighted the four run first for Tinora.

Archbold would answer with a two run home run off the bat of Collin Short, cutting the Tinora lead to 4-2 after one.

The Rams increased their lead to 5-2 on a a passed ball, scoring Ayden Moser who singled with one out in the second inning.

Archbold would get to Tinora starter Hunter Bostelman with a three run fifth to take a 6-5 lead. Anderson Bently, Tripp Langenderfer, and Collin Short would all score in the bottom of the inning.

Tinora would take the lead back in the top of the sixth as they would send 12 hitters to the plate, scoring seven runs to grab a 12-6 advantage. Highlighted in the inning was RBI’s from Parker Hancock, Owen Reynolds, Alec Schaublin and Hunter Bostelman off Archbold reliever Jace Castillo. Tinora would get just two hits in the inning as the ‘Steaks defense would commit four errors in the inning.

Archbold added their final run in the bottom of the sixth for a 12-6 deficit on a a fielders choice by Tripp Langendurfer, scoring Broden Piercefield.

The Rams added a single run in the top of the seventh for a 13-7 lead, Logan Stein would score on a bases loaded walk.

Archbold dropped to 12-11 with the loss.

Tinora improved to 17-4 and then traveled to Defiance to take part in the Prep Baseball Classic.

The Higbea Embroidery Player of the Game went to Ayden Moser for his performance at the plate, congratulations, Ayden
