SWANTON – Freshman Zoe Billings pitched a two hitter, allowing just one run as the Lady Rams piled up 13 runs on 14 hits as Tinora traveled to Swanton Saturday and defeated the Bulldogs, 13-1.

Tinora put seven on the scoreboard in the top of the third as the big inning started with a solo homerun to center by Mickey Starkey. Trynity Koerber and Tegan Norden would double, Both would score on another Tinora double, this by Paige Gamby to give the Lady Rams a 3-0 lead. Gamby would score on a sacrifice fly by Madison Spangler for a 4-0 advantage.

Scylea Zolman, who previously had walked, would score on a Billings RBI single for a 5-0 lead. Christine Meyer followed with a two run homerun for a 7-0 lead after three.

Payton DeTray would hit a solo homerun in the bottom of the fourth off Billings for the only run of the game for the Bulldogs, the Lady Rams led 7-1 through four innings of play.

Tinora plated two more runs in the top of the fifth, as Madison Spangler would walk and eventually score on a passed ball for an 8-1 Lady Rams lead. Christina Meyer would single, move to third on tho straight passed balls, and core on an RBI single by Koerber for an 9-1 lead after five.

Tinora would put the game away with a four run sixth inning. Norden and Gamby would score runs 10 & 11 on an RBI double by Spangler. Zoe Billings followed with a two run homer for a 13-1 lead.

Billings would send the Bulldogs down in order in the bottom of the sixth for the Tinora win.

The Lady Rams improve to 18-3 with the win. A bust week ahead for Tinora as they will host Northfield Tuesday, at Paulding Wed, home Thurs vs. Continental, Friday is the Tournament game, and Saturday is the Coach Helberg memorial vs. Miller City.

Swanton falls to 11-9 and will be at Pettisville Tuesday.
