Retired Tinora baseball coach Brent Renollet was inducted into the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame yesterday, June 24, 2025. He is part of the 2026 class, which also includes Tim Broski, Mark Brunswick, John Sarver, and Kevin Yoder.

Renollet, who retired after the 2025 season, coached the Tinora baseball team for 26 seasons.
Known as BR, he became head coach of the Tinora Rams in 1999.
During his Tinora tenure, he achieved a 445-196 record, with only one losing season in 1999, his first year.
He won 11 Green Meadows Conference titles, five district titles, four regional titles, and the 2014 Division IV state championship.
On May 16, 2025, the Tinora Athletic Department retired Coach Renollet’s jersey number 30. The jersey was then displayed on the back of the Rams baseball press box.
Since that first win against Antwerp 26 seasons ago, BR built the Rams into one of the area’s top programs.
BR began coaching high school baseball in 1988 at Delta, where he won 37 games over three years for a 37-28 overall record.
After eight years coaching basketball, he started his notable HOF baseball career at Tinora in 1999.
Over 29 years of coaching at Delta and Tinora, he achieved an overall record of 481-221. His GMC record stood at 136-44, highlighted by a streak of 36 consecutive conference wins.
Coach Renollet achieved his 400th career win on 5/4/2024 against Ottoville, and Tinora also reached its 400th career win on 5/4 versus Ottoville.
His GMC titles include championships in 2009, the first in 36 years, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2025.
Highlight moments include Logan Dickerson stealing home in the 2014 semi-finals against Crestview and Clay Pittman driving in EJ Kissell with the winning run in the bottom of the 7th against Newark Catholic in the State Title game. That 2014 team was a memorable ride for Ram fans.
Coach Renollet celebrated that championship with his two sons on the team; Reid was the starting pitcher, and Brevin was the starting second baseman.
Congratulations to BR on a remarkable and legendary career as Tinora’s baseball coach, now a Hall of Fame career!
