ARCHBOLD –

The Tinora boys varsity wrestling team headed to the icy north of Archbold to challenge for a team title early this morning, hoping to get all 10 wrestlers on to the OHSAA Districts next weekend at Rossford.

Only the top four in each weight class would advance.

The Rams did well in the opening rounds, winning all their matches and keeping pace with team favorites, Archbold.

Only a point separated the top two heading into semi-final matches.
The Rams dropped some tough losses in the semis and Archbold pulled away a bit.

Five of the Rams punched their ticket to districts by winning their semi-final match, while five dropped to the consolation rounds and would have to win their next to go on to districts.

Four Rams won their next and joined the other five, while one dropped his match and would have to settle for 5th or 6th.

In the end, Archbold won more finals matches and the Rams had to settle for second place as a team.
