Bryan 7 Lady Rams 2

The Lady Rams of Tinora welcomed in the NWOAL champion Bryan Golden Bears as both teams used this game as a tuneup for the upcoming OHSAA Sectional Finals.

The Golden Bears brought in their 19-1 record to Tinora to take on the Lady Rams.

In a battle of two of the better pitchers in the area, the 19-1 Thea Staten from Bryan faced off against Tinora’s Scylea Zolman, 13-4.

The Lady Rams grabbed an early 1-0 lead as Logan McQuillin’s single would score Anna Frazier in the bottom of the first inning.

Bryan would take the lead in the top of the third and never look back.
The Golden Bears scored three in the third, the cap was a Staten homerun as Bryan led 3-1 after three.

The Golden Bears added a single run in the fourth to lead 4-1. Kailee Thiel would start the inning with a single and come in to score on a Tabithah Taylor sacrifice.

The Golden Bears of Bryan added tow more runs in the sixth to lead 6-1. The Lady Rams defense let Bryan grab tow unearned runs in the top of the sixth.

Tinoira’s Paige Gamby cut the lead to 6-2 as she would blast a solo homerun to center field.

Bryan added a single run in the top of the seventh to take the game, 7-2.

Bryan’s Staten would strike out 16 Lady Rams on her way to win 20.

The Lady Rams drop to 16-7. Tinora will play Oak Harbor Wednesday at 4 pm at Holland’s Blue Devils park

Bryan improved to 20-1 and will play on Friday.
