ANTWERP – Tinora’s Christina Meyer scored her only points in the final seconds of regulation to send the game into overtime tied at 39-39. Meanwhile, teammate Nova Okuley nailed two huge free throws in the OT session, and the Tinora Lady Rams brought back a hard-fought road win over the Antwerp Archers.
Antwerp grabbed a 8-7 lead after the initial eight minutes of play, despite two fouls from leading scorer, Caroline Rohrs.
Antwerp snagged an 11-7 lead early in the second stanza, but the Tinora offense and defense turned up the heat over the next 5 minutes. The Lady Rams would go on a 15-0 run midway through the quarter, taking a 22-11 lead with just over three minutes on the clock.
After an Antwerp timeout, the Archers responded with their own run, a 6-0 run, to close the gap to 22-17 at the half.
Things would get a little intense in the third quarter as both teams would dig in, Tinora held off the Archers run, keeping a 29-25 lead through three quarters.
Antwerp battled back, finally caught the Lady Rams, and took a 33-30 lead on a three-pointer by Clara Rohrs with 5:21 remaining. The Archers would burn almost 3 minutes off the clock with ball movement and keep away.
After Antwerp’s Madisyn Peters split her free throws, the lead grew to 34-30 with 1:49 on the clock.
After a coach Thiel timeout, Tinora responded, Nova Okuley responded with a driving layup, closing the Archers gap to 34-32 with 1:12 in regulation.
Antwerp’s Rohrs would hit two more free throws, putting Antwerp ahead, 36-32. Tinora’s Julia Durfey would hit a clutch left corner three-pointer, cutting the lead to 36-35 at .48 seconds.
Raeily Franklin split her free throws, giving the Archers a 37-35 lead, before Tatum Creps tied the game at 37-37 with 24 seconds remaining,
Caroline Rohrs’s two free throws with 22 seconds remaining gave the Archers a 37-37 lead, making her 12-12 from the line. Meyers follow-up bucket tied the game at 39-39, and the teams headed to the four-minute OT.
Tinora’s Eowyn Blanchard tied the game at 41-41 with two free throws with 2:35 remaining in OT. The Lady Rams would take the lead for good on a Blanchard three-pointer, her 12 points, 46-42. Nova Okuley’s two free throws late in the OT period put lid on the Rams 49-47 win.

Tinora improves to 6-6, 1-1 in the GMC. The Lady Rams will host Edgerton next Thursday.
Antwerp falls to 4-7, 0-1 in the GMC. The Archers will travel to Crestview on Tuesday.
