Senior Night 2023, one for the memories. The Tinora basketball teams honored their five man senior class in the regular season finale at Tinora High School.

Suiting up on the home floor for the final time in their high school basketball careers were Rams Gavin Eckert, Eli Plassman, Cole Anders, Shea McMaster, and Luke Harris.

The class of five was honored between the JV and varsity games in an extravagant ceremony honoring the senior class members.

Edon would jump out to an early lead 12-4 lead, courtesy of senior Bomber Carter Kiess. Rams senior Luke Harris would battle Kiess for the scoring lead in the initial quarter, Harris would bucket 10 as Tinora would grab a 21-15 lead after one quarter of play.

Harris and Kiess would cool off a bit in the second quarter, but Gavin Eckert would pick up where Harris left off. Eckert would bucket 11 points in the half, Harris would nail 14 as the Rams would take a 34-25 lead to the half.

Quarter three would see Tinora jump out to a 50-32 lead with 3:25 remaining in the third. Coach Ripke of Edon would call for a timeout.
The Bombers would respond, going on a 10-0 run to end the quarter, cutting the Rams lead down to 50-42 after three quarters of play.

Edon would not get any closer than the eight point deficit, Tinora would increase their fourth quarter lead to as many as 13 before Edon would close on a tiny rally before falling to the Rams, 60-51.

Carter Kiess and Luke Harris would battle all night long, Kiess would end with 24 points, while Harris would close out his home career with 29.

The Rams improbe to 9-13 with the win. Tinora will play Paulding on 2/22 at Springfield High School in Holland, 6 pm start.

Edon falls to 6-16. The Bombers will play Toledo Christian on 2/22 at Bryan High School.
