The Tinora Rams had eight players score, including a career high 23 points from Alex Holier as the first time in over a decade, the Tinora Rams boys basketball team has started their champaign at 5-0 with a 55-26 win over Holgate. Way back in the 2013-’14 season the Rams began the season perfect at 5-0.
Despite the slow start, leading just 7-4 with 1:57 in the initial quarter, the Rams put together a solid finish to close the quarter with a 13-4 lead, caped by Homier’s old school 3-point play.
The Tinora offense put together a great second stanza, putting a 18 point quarter in the books for a 42-23 lead over the former GMC foe, Holgate Tigers.
Homier led all scorers with 12 points at the half, Holgate was led by Kaden Giesigie with eight.
After a great first half, the Rams came out in the third quarter and put up 11 points for a 42-23 lead through three quarters of play.
The fourth quarter saw Tinora increase their lead as Homier and the Rams played fantastic, unselfish game on offense, and a tenacious defense forced double digit turnover against the Holgate offense. The Rams closed out the game with a 55-26 win.

Holgate drops to 0-5, the Tigers will host Evergreen on Tuesday.
Tinora stays perfect at 5-0. The Rams will travel to Wauseon on Friday before hosting Liberty Center on Saturday night.
