ANTWERP – Tinora made the most of just five hits as they went on the road to Antwerp and brought back a 5-1 GMC win against the host Archers.

Tinora’s Hunter Bostelman went the distance, improving to 3-0 as he struck out 13 Archers while allowing just two hits in Tinora’s 5-1 win.

Tinora broke the gate open in the top of the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead. Ayden Moser led off the game with a double off Antwerp starter Reid Lichty. Moser would score the game’s first run on a passed ball from the Archers.

Antwerp would tie the game at 1-1 in the bottom of the third inning as the host Archers would mount a two-out rally. Reid Lichty’s single started the Antwerp rally after Tinora’s Bostelman retired the first two Archers.

Austin Lichty followed with a single to put Archers at first and second with two outs. The Archers would pull off a double steal, and Reid Lichty would come around and score on a Tinora error, tying the game at 1-1 through three innings.

Both Reid Lichty and Hunter Bostelman would settle in until the top of the fifth, where the Rams bats came alive, plating a single run to take a 2-1 lead. Adam Spychala reached to start the inning on an infield error by the Archers. Spychala would steal second, then third, and score on an RBI groundnut by Trenton Delarber.

The score remained 2-1 until the top of the sixth. Hunter Bostelman would start the Ram uprising with a leadoff single. Bostelman would come around to score on a bunt by Mason McQuillin and two throwing errors by Antwerp to take a 3-1 lead. McQuililn would motor around to third on the errors and score on an infield ground out by pinch hitter BJ Morlock to give the Rams a 4-1 advantage.

Alex Homier, running for Morlock, would come around to score as Adam Spychala’s sac fly increased the Tinora lead to 5-1 after six innings. Austin Lichty would enter for Reid Lichty with one out in the sixth.

Bostelman would shut down the Archers over the final two innings, ending his night with a complete game win.

With the win, the Rams improve to 10-4. The Rams will play host to Kalida on Saturday at Grube Filed, 11 am start. Tinora is currently scheduled to play 6 Games next week, Mon-Sat.

The Archers drop to 3-8, 1-3 in the GMC. Antwerp will host Fayette on Friday.
