The Tinora Rams, 16-4, closed out their regular season with a trip to Bloomdale to take on the Elmwood Royals, 5-14.
Josh Lieb hit three first quarter three pointers on his way to 13 points as the Rams outscored the host Royals 13-4 in the opening quarter.
Tinora was held to just four second quarter points, baskets by Connor Welling and Alex Homier sent the Rams to the half with a 16-9 lead over Elmwood.
Welling and Homier scored all eight of the Tinora points in the third quarter, each with four points as the Rams grabbed a 24-19 lead through three quarters of play.
The senior point guard Welling led the Rams charge in the finals stanza, bucketing seven points on his way to a game high 14 points to lead the Rams to a 39-29 road win to end the regular season.
Elmwood was led in scoring by Andrew Traxler’s 14 points.
Tinora landed just three in the scoring column in the win.

Tinora closes out the regular season at 17-4. The Rams will host the Winner of Liberty Center, Emmanual Christian on Friday, 7 pm start.
This was the most regular season wins by a Rams team since the 2008-09 OHSAA State runner up team. And the first team to put their name on a GMC Champion banner since the 2011 team.
