Logan Stein and Owen Reynolds combined for a one hitter as the Tinora Rams improved to 18-6 in their final tuneup before hosting Swanton in the District Quarterfinals Saturday.

Tinora’s two run first inning was all they needed as Parkway’s first hit came in the top of the seventh, a single by Jack Yoder.

Tinora leadoff hitter Ayden Moser again got the Rams rolling with a single in the bottom of the first inning. Moser would advance to third on a single by Alec Schaublin. Moser would score the initial run of the game on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Tinora senior Hunter Bostelman for 1-0 lead.

Mason McQuillin, who collected two hits would single in Schaublin for a 2-0 Tinora advantage after one inning.

Parkway would get on the board with a single run in the top of the seventh. Jacoby Triplett would walk, followed by Jack Yoder’s one out single, which would be the only hit for the Panthers on the night would out runners on first and third for Parkway. Triplett would score on a wild pitch, closing the gap to 2-1.

Tinora’s Owen Reynolds, in his third inning of work, would get the final out of the game with the basses loaded strikeout, preserving the win for the Rams.

Parkway drops to 9-14 and will play St Henry in the OHSAA tournament on Saturday.

Tinora improves to 18-6 and will host Swanton Saturday at 12 pm in the tournament.
