Tinora’s long day of baseball for the Rams started with an 11 am first pitch as they hosted the Edon Bombers on a chilly, windy, damp Saturday from Grube Field at Tinora High School.

The host Rams piled up 16 runs on 14 hits as they defeated the Bombers 16-3 in a five inning game.

Tinora sent 13 batters to the plate in the bottom of the second inning as they would put nine runs on eight hits the board against Edon starter Chris Joice. Adam Spychala would score two runs, steal two bases in the uprising. Rylee Peters would collect two hits, steal a base, and score in the inning as well.

Edon would collect two unearned runs off Tinora starter Connor Wolfrum in the top of the third. Kadin Stantzand Carter Steinke would both reach on errors by the Rams infield and score to cut the Tinora lead to 9-2.

The Rams would put together another rally as they would put four runs on the board in the bottom of the third to take a 13-2 lead.
Highlighted in the inning was RBI by Alec Schaulblin, Hunter Bostelman, Owen Ferrell with this second and third runs batted in.

Edon would get their third and final run in the top of the fourth. Braedyn Wehrle would double and score on a RBI sac fly by Carter Steinke, Tinora led 13-3.

The Rams would put the game away with a three run fourth to take a 16-3 advantage. Mason McQuillin’s inside the park homerun was the highlight of the day as he hit a deep drive to right field, scampering all the way around the bases for a 15-3 lead. Owen Ferrell’s fourth RBI scored Schaublin for a 16-3 lead.

Adam Spychala would work a perfect firth in relief for Tinora.

Connor Wolfrum picked up the win for Tinora, he moves to 3-1 on the season.

Tinora improved to 16-6 with the win. The Rams leaded the bus and headed to Ayersville for a 2:30 pm game following this contest,

Edon dropped to 6-14. The Bombers will be at Stryker on Monday.

The Higbea Embroidery Player of the game went to Owen Ferrell for his four RBI efforts, congratulations, Owen.
