On Senior Night, a senior and a sophomore shined bright on Tuesday as the Tinora Rams improved to 14-3 with a 10-0 win over Wauseon.

The Rams baseball program celebrated the three-person senior class before the game on Tuesday at Grube Field at Tinora High School. Parker Hancok, Avery Moser, and Allan Burchfield were all honored before the first pitch.

The night would belong to two, senior Parker Hancock, hitting his first homerun, a grand slam, breaking open a close game, in the bottom of the fifth.

The other star of the evening was sophomore Grady Stark, the right-hander improved to 3-1 as he threw the Rams first no-hitter since Tyler McKenny in 2012. Stark would throw the six-inning no-hitter, while walking just one, while striking out seven. Stark would allow just two base runners, a walk and a Tinora fielding error, allowing a Wauseon runner.

Tinora struck first with a solo run in the bottom of the third. A two-out double from Owen Reynolds started the scoring rally. Reynolds would plate the game’s first run on consecutive past balls. Tinora led 1-0 after three frames.

The next Tinora runs would come in the bottom of the fifth. Logan Stein started the inning with a single, and Ryan Mills would reach on an Indians infield error. Owen Reynolds would single to load the bases for the Rams. Parker Hancock would send a deep drive over the left-center fence for his first career grand slam, giving the Rams a 5-0 lead after five innings.

Tinora would end the game with a five-run sixth. Doug Hatteme would start the inning via a hit by pitch. A pitch would also hit Avery Moser, and both would move up on a wild pitch. Hattemer would score on an RBI single from Ryan Mills, and a 6-0 Rams lead. Reynolds would follow with his third hit of the game, a BRI single, plating Moser for a 7-0 advantage.

Still batting in the bottom of the sixth, Tinora’s Hancock would add his fifth RBI, a single scoring Mills for an 8-0 lead. Owen Reylods would score on a past ball, and the Rams would lead 9-0. The final run of the game came as senior Allan Burchfield would collect his second hit on Senior Night, this one plating Hancock, giving the Rams a 10-6 six-inning win.

Tinora improves to 14-3-1. The Rams will head to Paulding on Wednesday with a chance at their 14th GMC baseball title.
