Tinora 1 Bryan 0

In a game with only six combined hits, excitement was in the air on a Friday evening at Grube Field at Tinora High School.

Coming in off his Saturday shutout over state-ranked Patrick Henry, the Tinora senior starter Korbin Casteel was in complete control, allowing just a bunt single to Golden Bears lead-off hitter Jase Kepler to start the game.

Casteel would wind up picking off Kepler at first. After a Rams fielding error to the third hitter of the game, Tayson Deckrosh, Over the next six+ innings, Casteel would retire the next 19 Bryan hitters in a row. Unfortunately for Casteel, his teammates were held scoreless as well, collecting just two hits themselves, through six innings by the Golden Bears combo of Carter Dominique and Noah Huard.

Both Dominique and Casteel went toe to toe before Huard came into the game in relief for Dominique in the sixth inning.

After one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, Ayden Moser singled into center field. After a pick-off attempt resulted in a throwing error, allowing Moser to get to second base, Tinora’s Kadyn Radzik stepped to the plate with the game tied 0-0.

Radzik sent a Huard pitch into left field, scoring Moser from second, giving the Rams a thrilling 1-0 last at-bat win over Bryan.

The Rams certainly had their chances to score over the first few innings, leaving seven runners stranded through the first five innings.

Radzik wins it with a single – listen above^

Tinora improves to 17-4. The Rams will host Miller City Saturday at 11 am.

Bryan falls to 8-12 with the loss.

The Player of the game went to Korbin Casteel. Congratulations, Korbin!
