Rams sweep Liberty Center

The Tinora Rams hosted the Liberty Center Tigers in a scheduled doubleheader on Saturday. The early 10 am start may have had an effect on the hot Tinora bats. The Rams 9-2 were coming in averaging a shade over 14 runs per game, it took a few innings before the Rams bats ignited.
Taking a 3-1 into the fourth inning, Tinora exploded for six runs on 4 hits grabbing a 9-1 lead before closing out the Tigers in 5 innings 11-1.
Tinora starter Casen Wolfrum did not hit the snooze on his alarm, however. The junior righty worked the first four innings, striking out ten in registering his first win of the season. Wolfrum limited the Tigers to just one run on four hits.
For his efforts, Casen was named the Higbea Embroidery Player of the game.
Tinora improved to 10-2 with the game one win.

In game #2, the Rams bats were alive and well. Tinora jumped out to a quick 4-1 lead before sending fifteen batters to the plate in the third inning, grabbing a 15-1 lead. LC added three runs in the fifth to close the gap, but not enough as the Rams improved to 11-2 with a 15-4 victory
Tinora starter Cole Commisso was effective in his start, Commisso picked up his third win of the season going four innings.

The Higbea Embroidery of the Game award in game #2 was awarded to the Tinora Rams staff of Head Coach Brent Renollete, Chuck Carey, Michael Walker, & Reid Anders. The Tinora staff seems to be ready to conquer any obstacles in 2021.

In the week ahead, the Rams will travel to Defiance on Monday, host GMC opponents Hicksville on Tuesday, Ayersville on Thursday before a non-league game vs Maumee on Saturday.

The JV Rams were also victorious vs Liberty Center, 12-2, and the JV defeated Paulding on Friday night, 11-1.
