A great Saturday night crowd saw a dominating performance by the visiting Patrick Henry Patriots as they visited the Tinora Rams for a non-conference contest.

The Patriots entered with a 2-4 record, but were a few weeks behind most area teams, as their long football run limited practice time in the initial start of the hoops season.

Tinora came in with a 2-6 mark, coming off a great win at home vs. Edgerton the previous night.

The first minute of play saw the Patriots Thomas Smith open the game’s scoring with a dunk, the Patriots would also see Lincoln Creager explode for eights opening quarter points. Patrick Henry would exit with a 14-10 lead after the initial period.
Unfortunately for the Patriots, Smith would exit late first quarter with an injury and would not return.

The second quarter would see Mack Hieber make his presence felt as he would blow up the scoreboard with eight second quarter points, giving Patrick Henry a 27-20 advantage at the half.

The Patriots would see both Creager, 11 first half points, and Hieber 10 points, combine for 21 of the team’s 27 first half points.

Unfortunately for the Rams, Spychala, Ackerman, and Rittenhouse who combined for 43 points the night before in a win vs Edgerton, were limited to just five points combined in the first half by the Patriots defense. .

The Patriots would see the Rams Aiden Rittenhouse score eight points himself to start the third period. Unfortunately for the Tinora Rams, both Hieber and Creager would still remain red-hot as the patriots would see their lead increase to 50-30 after three periods of play.

The final quarter would see neither team score for the first four minutes, the visiting Patriots would leave with a 56-37 win over Tinora.
