BLOOMDALE – The Lady Rams headed to Elmwood to take on the Royals in a Saturday Matinée non-conference contest.

Tinora came in winning 4 of their last five contest as the regular season winds down, while Elmwood was heading in the opposite direction, losing four of their last five.

In the initial quarter, Elmwood would jump out to an early 8-0 lead on the visiting Lady Rams basketball team. Sophomore Nova Okuley would bury two three pointers, bucketing six in the first quarter, as Tinora would go on a 10-0 run, leading after one quarter of play, 10-8.

The three point ball was friendly to Lady Rams senior Liv Muller in the second quarter, Mueller would hit two from beyond the arch for six points in the quarter as the Lady Rams would grab a 22-21 lead.

Nova Okuley and Mueller would lead Tinora at the half with six points each.
Elmwood was paced by Aubrey Johnson with seven points.

In a tight third quarter, the Lady Rams escaped with a one point lead, 33-32. Elmwood’s Johnson would bucket six for the Royals in the quarter on two three pointers.

Not to be outdone, Tinora’s Mueller would remain hot from beyond the arch, draining three more three pointers for nine points in the third stanza.

The fourth quarter saw the Lady Rams pull away late, courtesy of Karli Okuley’s 10 points in the final quarter. Karli would go 7 of 10 from the line, winding up with 14 total points in the Tinora victory. Mueller would lead the Lady Rams with 17 points on five made three’s.

Aubrey Johnson would lead the Royals with 16 points, Johnson hit four three point shots in the loss.

Tinora improves to 11-8 with the win. The Lady rams will host Stryker on Monday, 2/6 before closing out the regular season at Antwerp on Thursday, 2/9.

Elwood falls to 8-11. The Royals will close out their regular season with a game against Carey at home on Monday, and at Lake in the regular season finale.
