JEWELL – The Lady Rams welcomed the Edgerton Bulldogs to Tinora as both teams set to start their Green Meadows Conference season.

Tinora came in off back to back losses, sporting a 3-5 overall record, while the Bulldogs came in to Ram County looking for their first win of the season, the Bulldogs were 0-7 as they took the floor.

In the first quarter, Liv Mueller and Nova Okuley ignited the Rams offense, which has been struggling to score the past two games. Tinora burst out to an 6-0 lead, leading 11-7 after one. Mueller bucketed seven first quarter points for the Lady Rams.

Quarter two saw the Bulldogs hang with the Lady Rams, Edgerton would tie the game at 11 apiece midway through the quarter, before an Addison Lee three pointers would eventually give the Lady Rams a lead they would never relinquish, 14-11.

Tinora went to the half with a 20-15 lead.

Taylor Smith led Edgerton at the half with seven, while the Lady Rams were paced by Mueller’s seven.

First year Lady Rams coach Andrew Thiel’s words of wisdom and second half adjustments were evident to start the second half. Nova Okuley, who was looking to break out, finally caught the hot hand, scoring nine second half points, all in the third quarter.

Tinora scored the first nine points of the third period, breaking open the once close game, 29-15.

The fourth quarter saw the Lady Rams hold steady with a double-digit lead, pulling away for a 51-34 win. Tegan Norden, seeing her first extensive varsity play of the season, bucketed five points for the Lady Rams.

Edgerton’s 6′ freshman Alivia Farham led the way with a very impressive game, scoring nine points for Edgerton.

Tinora improved to 4-5 with the win, and are 1-0 to start GMC play. The Lady Rams travel to Wauseon on Tues, Dec 20.

Edgerton falls to 0-8, 0-1 in the GMC. Edgerton will travel to the Route 49 Classic on Dec 22 & 23.

The Higbea Embroidery Player of the Game went to Nova Okuley. Nova with a game high 16 points. Congratulations, Nova.
