Lady Rams knock off Edgerton, remain undefeated in GMC

Playing for the third time in the past four days, the Tinora Lady Rams looked to remain undefeated in the Green Meadows Conference as they hosted the Lady Bulldogs of Edgerton.

Technically speaking, the Lady Rams played three games at the Archbold Spiketacular Saturday, and back to back days this week, so 5 games in three days. Mix in a Saturday night Homecoming at Tinora High School, and the Lady Rams would have seemed to be running on fumes, not so fast my friend.

Tinora was bringing in a 13-4 mark overall, and an undefeated 4-0 mark in conference play against the Edgerton Lady Bulldogs. Edgerton was looking for their first GMC win, coming in at 0-4, 5-11 overall.

The Lady Rams JV got the engine started with a two set win over Edgerton, 25-22 & 25-13.

The main act for the night turned into Makenna Reetz show. The Lady Rams and Reetz put away the Lady Bulldogs in three sets, 28-8, 25-14, & 25-6.

The Lady Rams set up Reetz for numerous kills throughout the contest. Reetz also had 4 blocks to propel the Lady Rams to the win in capturing the Higbea Embroidery Player of the Game award.

With the win, the Lady Rams of Tinora improve to 14-4, and remain undefeated in the GMC race at 5-0. Tinora has won 10 of it’s last 11 games.

The Lady Rams are back in action Thursday night as they will host non-conference opponent, the Lady Indians from Wauseon (12-5).

Tinora  – Makenna Reetz 13 kills, 4 blocks; Brooklyn Reineke 10 digs, 3 kills, 27 assists; Emma Chafins 5 kills, 3 digs, 18-18 serving, 4 aces; Logan McQuillin 3 digs; Quinn Horn 16 kills, 11 digs; Macey Schlosser 19-20 serving, 4 aces; Emma Cramer 9-10 serving, 2 aces; Avery Morris 3 digs.
