In a triple header from Tinora High school, the Lady Rams volleyball squad welcomed in the Div I Sylvania Southview Cougars.
The evening started off with the freshman game, the Cougars came out with a 2-0 victory, defeating the Lady Rams 25-21 & 25-19.
Up next was the JV contest, the Lady Rams again fell to Southview, 2-0. Losing 25-20 & 25-20.
The Varsity looked to avenge a three set loss last season at Southview.
Tinora came in winning 8 of 9 games and sported a 12-4 overall record. Hit hard by graduation, the Cougars of Southview were just 4-12 entering the contest.
The Lady Rams coming off a runner-up trophy Saturday at Archbold were looking to get back on track and into the win column.
Tinora took a tough first set from the Cougars, 25-17. The Lady Rams came out on fire in the second set, taking it from Southview 25-11. Set number three slso went to the Lady Rams of Tinora, 25-14.
With the win, the Lady Rams move to 13-4, winning 9 of 10 games. The Lady Rams will be back in action in conference play tuesday night at home vs the Edgerton Bulldogs. The Bulldogs will travel to Tinora with a 5-11 record, 0-4 in the GMC.
Sylvania Southview falls to 4-13 on the 2021 season.
Tinora is now 41-11 in sets on the season, and 16-1 in the first set.
