Lady Rams bounce back with GMC win over Wayne Trace

A wise man once said, “A different day means a different outcome.”

Nothing was more true as the Tinora Lady Rams looked to get back in the win column after suffering a disappointing defeat last night to a Div I school, the Clay Eagles. Tinora battled the Eagles through four tough sets before bowing out, 3-1.

Tonight brought over the Lady Raiders of Wayne Trace as the Lady Rams headed into game two of the GMC season. Wayne Trace entered the contest with a 5-2 record, 0-1 in conference play. The Lady Rams came in after last night’s defeat at 4-3, 1-0 in Green Meadows Conference play.

The Tinora freshman started off with a two set win, 25-12 and 25-7.
The Lady Rams JV team also picked up a two set win, 25-23, and 15-19.

In the main event of the night, the Lady Rams and the Lady Raiders looked to get back in the win column, both teams coming off losses.

Tinora wasted little time in jumping out to a big first set lead, taking the first set, 25-10.

The second set also went to the Lady Rams, 24-12.

In set three, the Lady Rams looked to close out the win. Wayne Trace didn’t go quickly, battling Tinora to the final point before the Lady Rams took the final stanza 25-21.

With the win, the Lady Rams improve to 5-3, 2-0 in GMC conference play.

The Lady Raiders suffered their third straight defeat, falling to 5-3, 0-2 in the Green Meadows Conference.

The Higbea Embroidery Player of the game award was split tonight between seniors Makenna Reetz and Quinn Horn. Congratulations!

The Lady Rams are back in action Saturday morning from Tinora vs Stryker.
