NAPOLEON – The Lady Rams traveled over to take on the Napoleon Lady ‘Cats in a tournament tuneup before taking on the Swanton Bulldogs in the OHSAA Semi Finals Friday.
Tinora scored three runs in the first and never looked back, defeating the Napoleon Wildcats 10-0.
The Napoleon defense let down starter Wilcox in the first inning with three first inning errors. A double by Paige Carpenter would plate Paige Gamby, giving the Lady Rams a early 3-0 lead after one.
Tinora added two runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth to grab a 7-0 lead through five innings.
Scylea Zolman came around to score on RBI fielders choice by Maren Pittman, Tinora led 4-0
Logan McQuillin’s double in the fourth plated two, Tanae Smith, increasing the Tinora lead to 5-0 through four.
Zoe Roesti’s tow-run homerun gave the Lady Rams a 7-0 lead through five innings.
A three run seventh put the game out of reach, giving the Lady Rams a 1-0 road win.
Mickey Starkey’s tow RBI double would score Smith and Frazer, putting the Rams up 10-0.
Maren Pittman started and pitched a great game, going the first fie innings, picking up the win.
Scylea Zolman would work the final two innings for the Lady Rams.
Tinora moves to 15-6 and will host Swanton Friday 5/12.
Napoleon drops to 6-15.
