Tinora 8 Bluffton 1

The Rams used a four run fourth and a four run fifth as Rams senior righty Eli Plassman picked up his fifth win as Tinora improved to 16-4 with an 8-1 non-conference win over the visiting Bluffton Pirates.

Bluffton threatened in the first inning, getting two singles off Plassman, fortunately for the Tinora defense, they turned a swift 1-6-3 double play to get out of the jam.

The Pirates jumped to an early 1-0 over the Rams as the Pirates scored an unearned run in the top of the second off a Rams throwing error.

The Rams bats finally broke through in the third off Pirates starter Brandon Jordan. Tinora would score four runs on just two hits to take a 4-1 lead after three innings.
In the inning, the Rams sent eight batters to the plate, a huge two out bases loaded double by Luke Harris keyed the Tinora rally.

In the bottom of the fourth, Tinora would send seen to the plate, scoring four more runs to increase their lead to 8-1.
Back to back RBI sacrifices by Ayden Moser and Radzik keyed the big inning for the Ram attack. Dalton Wolfrum and Teron Ward also added RBI’s in the inning.

Tinora’s starter Eli Plassman would cruise after the first two innings, limiting the Pirates to just one run on seven hits in the complete game victory. Plassman did not issue a walk and stuck out three oer seen innings of work.

Tinora improves to 16-4 with the win. The Rams are home Friday s Bryan and Saturday against Miller City.

Bluffton falls to 11-12. The Pirates will travel to Paulding on May 15.
