Crestview 64 Tinora 29

CONVOY – After finishing their conference schedule in the GMC Friday, the Rams hoopsters made the trip down south to Convoy to take on the #2 team in DIV IV, the Crestview Knights.

Crestview enters with a 17-2 overall record, while Tinora entered at 8-11.

Already undermanned due to injury, the Rams had a tall task ahead of them with the very talented and very deep Knights roster who is coached by Ohio State alum, Doug Etzler.
Etzler suited up for the Buckeyes from 1991-1995, averaging 16.3 PPG his senior season in a OSU uniform.

Crestview jumped out to a first quarter lead, ending the quarter leading Tinora 22-6.

The Knights would take a 38-12 lead to the half. Luke Harris led the Rams with five at the half

The second half was owned by the Knights as well, ending the third quarter with a 56-22 advantage.

Luke Harris would bucket 15 points for the Rams, hitting 8 of 10 free throws, but Crestview would come away with a 64-29 victory over Tinora.

Micah Shelton’s three at the buzzer would be the only three pointers made by the Rams on the night.

The Rams fall to 8-12. Tinora will play at Pettisville on Thursday and will have Senior Night at home vs Edon on Friday.

Crestview improves to 18-2 and will continue their quest for a NWC title with a game at Leipsic and at Van Wet prior to the start of the OHSAA tournament.
