VAN BUREN – The Tinora wrestling team looked to make some noise as they traveled just over an hour to take part in the Van Buren Invitational.
With the season heading down to the final stretch before the GMC’s and the OHSAA tournament, the Rams wrestlers were looking to start to flex their muscles.
32 schools took part in the two-day event, with the Tinora Rams wrestling program coming home with the team championship.
All coach Siewert and his 12 Ram wrestlers that made the trip did was have 10 placers, 5 finalists, 3 Champions, the coveted team Championship, oh and have the Most Valuable Wrestler of the Tournament in Dalton Worfrum.
What a great accomplishment by the Rams staff and wrestlers.
Wolfrum, 165 lbs, went 5-0 and defeated three state ranked wrestlers and win the MPW of the tournament.
Anden Ankeny as well as Gavin Bowers finished in first place as well for the Rams.
