OHSAA State XC Championships

OBETZ – The Tinora Rams sent three runners to compete against the best runners in the state of Ohio to Obetz, Ohio, just south of Columbus, to compete at the OHSAA State XC Championships at the Fortress Obetz course.

Lauren Sattler, Paul Westrick, and Jaxen Durfey were representing the Rams in the State XC meet that ran Saturday morning in Obetz.

On the girls side, Lauren Sattler finished 64 out of 182 of the best runners in Ohio. What a fantastic season by Lauren.

Lauren was competing in her third straight OHSAA XC Championship, she is just a Junior and will challenge for the areas best runner again next season.

On the boys side, Jaxen Durfey and Paul Westrick tacked the OHSAA course, Durfey for the third straight year while Westrick was competing for the second consecutive year.

Jaxen would finish 17 and Paul would finish 27 among the best of the 185 Ohio High school runners. A fantastic season by Jaxen and Paul.

Jaxen will head to the University of Findlay in the Fall of 2023 while Paul is just a sophomore and will challenge as one of the better runners in the area next season.

What a great season by Coach Jim Winseman!

Coach Winseman has the Tinora XC team as one of the best in NW Ohio, and the program is known state wide in Ohio.
