The Tinora Rams started their OHSAA tournament this evening as they hosted the Green Bears from Ottawa Hills.
The Rams came in to the tournament playing some of their best ball, winning 6 of 7 matches.
Ottawa Hills came in to tourney play with an 11-8 record, the Green Bears finished one game behind Toledo Christian in the TAC at 6-2.
The Rams of Tinora came in with a 14-8, the Rams finished third in the GMC at 5-2.
Tinora survived a tough first set, winning 25-23.
Set two, again was close, the Rams came out on top 25-22.
Set three, again, was a tight match 25- 21.
With the win, Tinora advances to the Sectional Finals on Wednesday from The Thunderdome in Archbold. Tinora will take on Eastwood, 6 pm match time.
Tinora and Eastwood met during the regular season on 9/19, dropping a tough five set match, 3-2.
With the win, the Rams improve to 15-8.
Ottawa Hills sees their season end at 11-9.
