Lady Rams advance to Sectional Finals, defeat Delta 3-0

TINORA – Coming off last Thursday’s emotional five set Green Meadows Conference championship bout vs the Fairview Apaches, one might have worried a bit about the Lady Rams coming out a bit flat in their Sectional opener vs the Delta Lady Panthers.

Playing on their home floor for the final time in 2021, Tinora came in with a GMC Title, and a 17-4 overall record vs the visiting Panthers of Delta. The Lady Panthers hit hard by graduation brought a 2-18 mark into the sectional opener.

The Lady Rams wasted little time as they opened up with a first set victory, a 25-6 win.

Tinora continued where they left off, defeating Delta in the second set, 25-10. Brooklyn Reineke was setting up Quinn Horn and Makenna Reetz beautifully throughout the first 2 sets.

In the third set, Lady Rams senior Emma Chafins started the set with 17 straight serves, giving the Lady Rams a 16-0 lead. Tinora eventually went on to win the third and final set, 25-8.

To their credit, the Delta Panthers never gave up, scoring 6 of the final 7 points before finally seeing their season come to an end at 2-19.
