After suffering defeats to two very good programs last week, at Ottowa Glandorf, and at home to Leipsic, the Tinora Lady Rams looked to rebound as the GMC season kicked off tonight from Tinora High School.
The JV got off to a good start, winning in two sets over Antwerp, 25-14 & 25-20.
The Lady Rams of Tinora were looking to get back in the win column, losing two of three matches last week.
The Archers were bringing in a well-balanced team of underclassmen and seniors to battle the Lady Rams. At the helm for Antwerp was first year coach Ashley Malfait, bringing a 2-6 early season record in vs Tinora.
Tinora defeated the Archers in three sets, 25-10, 25-15, & 15-19.
The Higbea Embroidery Player of the Game award went to Brooklyn Reineke. A great job tonight by Brooklyn setting up the front line of Horn, Scott, and Reetz.
The Lady Rams improve to 4-2, and start out conference play 1-0.
Antwerp falls to 2-7, 0-1 in GMC play.
The Lady Rams are back next Monday vs Clay. Stop out and see the Lady Rams!
A great assist tonight by Coach Rutter during the national anthem. ππ
