Lymanstall tabs Hunter

Tinora Rams first-year head coach Kris Lymanstall is bringing back someone very familiar to him and the Tinora basketball program.

The hiring of former Rams head coach Andy Hunter was approved by the school board on Wednesday. Hunter will be an assistant to Lymanstall on the Rams bench this upcoming basketball season.

In a bit of role reversal, Kris Lymanstall severed as an assistant to Andy Hunter during Hunter’s previous tenure as head coach at Tinora from 2012 – 2016.

During his time as Rams hardwood leader, Hunter accumulated a 58-38 record. Hunter also was the Tinora freshman & JV coach before taking the varsity job at Tinora in 2012.

The addition of Hunter will add experience to the Rams bench, Hunter was a great teacher of the game in his previous tenure at Tinora. Hunter also orchestrated of one of the higher scoring teams in Rams recent history.

Lymanstall will be taking over the program from Paul Wayne who resigned at the season’s end.
