After a dreary ride over to Wayne Trace, the sun sure did shine on the Rams bats over the next 2 hrs.
Tinora improved to 4-1 with a conference opening win over the Raiders of Wayne Trace, 22-0.
The Rams bats were hot right out of the gates, scoring 9 runs on 6 hits in the top of the first inning, Tinora sent 14 batters to the plate.
The Tinora Bats stayed hot over the next few innings, scoring 1 run in the second, 7 in the third, and 4 in the fourth, caped by a Nolan Schafer opposite field grand slam. Tinora added a final single tally in the fifth and final inning.
The Rams leadoff hitter was named the Higbea Embroidery Player of the Game by officially going 2 for 3 with 2 walks and a hit by pitch. Schafer also stole 2 bases and scored 4 runs to gain the award by Higbea Embroidery.
Andrew Imthurn started and went the distance in the 5-inning win. Imthurn picked up win #3 in his 5-innings worked. Andrew had 6 K & 2 hits allowed.
Max Grube also reached base 4 times, scoring 3 runs.
Christian Commisso was welcomed back to the Rams starting lineup by reaching base 3 times and scoring 3 runs.
The Rams will head to Anthony Wayne Friday and to Elida on Saturday.
